McCandless Sanitary Authority cuts summer metered sewer rates

Lightning kills three ponies at North Park event
A Sunday afternoon lightning strike during a pony pulling contest at North Park Sportsman's Club grounds killed three ponies. Two died when a bolt hit a tree and bounced to the tied truck. one belonged to George Swagnet and another to Wilbert Hartman.
