Fire destroys Ross-Township split-level home during move
A fire at the Ross-Township split-level house on IS-Kontrer Drive damaged the roof living room walls carpet and family room with an estimated loss of 15000. No injuries were reported. The blaze started around 4 am while the owners were moving out and the new buyer was en route from Boston to Pittsburgh to close the purchase. The Rosses now reside in West View and had most belongings moved out.

Etna Woman 74 Dies In Backyard Fall
Frances Seserko 74 of 8 Hickory St Etna is found dead in her backyard after a fall from a porch while cooking. Neighbors saw the frozen body and police and coroner planned an autopsy to determine death cause. She was active in All Saints Church and survived by her husband who died in 1971 and one son. a funeral home will handle arrangements.
