Burglars Foiled at West View Park on Christmas Day
Park guard Ronnie Freedman surprised three would be burglars at the West View Amusement Park. The men smashed a window of the Skee-Ball Building and unlocked the door before fleeing in a dark sedan toward Center Avenue.

Stray dog held after biting boy in two streets
A stray dog bit a boy in the afternoon at 1709 Duty Ave and in a garage at 1703 Luty Ave. The dog is in custody of health authorities for a 10 day observation to check for disease. The boy, named James, was treated at Divine Providence Hospital for a bite to the right index finger.
