New motorized wheelchair moves Shaler man to tears
Harold Pete Klingenberg, a 56 year old former Shaler truck driver and firefighter, received a $1,140 motorized wheelchair funded by the Pittsburgh Saints and Sinners Club at a Cadillac party. Eight club men attended the Kane Hospital presentation, where Klingenberg shed tears of gratitude as he tested the chair. His MS has reduced him from a 6 foot 1 inch, 225 pound athlete to 175 pounds. he has served as a volunteer firefighter for 33 years and in the past worked for a meat company and as a part time Shaler police officer.
