Township supervisors will open bids for sewer projects Ing Thompson Terrace 1 and 2 at the next meeting on Wednesday September 18. Robert C. Rossman as chairman told residents on August 21 that cost figures would not be known until next month.
Ohio Township supervisors met to discuss a $31,000 federal grant received last month and to consider a 60 day extension for financing. Mount Nebo Woman's Club members and local residents were updated on construction and recreation policies while school officials outlined plans for a new ten room addition and a future elementary school with bids tallied for the junior high project.
The North Hills News Record will publish on its usual schedule after the Labor Day weekend. All display ads must be in by Thursday. Sports and church items must be in by Saturday morning. A Pittsburgh man Dominic Natoli is in fair condition at Allegheny General Hospital after his car left Wildwood Road in Hampton Township and plunged into Pine Creek Sunday. James T. Lawton, also of Pittsburgh, escaped injury as both occupants freed themselves. Natoli was treated at the hospital by Allison Park Fire Co. ambulance crew.
McCandless Township commissioners debated Park Edge Acres Plan No 3 at a late August meeting. They considered cutting large lots into smaller ones while balancing objections from residents and concerns about drainage, public services, and a sewer right of way.
