Avalon Lt John Downey and North Borough officers chased and captured Ralph Joseph Freudenberg 23 who fled FBI agents at Suburban General Hospital after they traced him to a patient’s room. Freudenberg, former Bland Correctional Center inmate from Virginia, faces flight to avoid prosecution auto theft and hit and run charges and is held on 50000 bond. A stolen Erie vehicle linked to him was recovered at the hospital.

Van stolen from Bellevue station with valuable equipment
A Westinghouse Corp van was taken Tuesday from Russ Exxon Station at 4456 Ohio River Blvd Bellevue. Police said the van containing valuable equipment was found 12 hours later in Forest Hills and none of the equipment was reported missing.

Shaler Police Report Theft Burglary Incidents
Shaler police Thursday reported three thefts and a burglary. A bicycle was stolen from 111 Highlander Heights Drive Sunday and recovered. Two tape recorders were taken from buses on Hahn Road over the past three weeks, each valued at 200 dollars. Four hubcaps disappeared from a car of 915 Saxonburg Blvd Monday. Offices at 2911 Mount Royal Blvd were entered Wednesday after a window break, with a list of taken items awaited.
