McCandless Township, in a special session last week, voted unanimously to install water lines in the Harmony Drive Water District. The project costs about 27,286 with Brown & Vaughn contributing 6,000. The plan extends water from Rochester at 1,000 gallon units, serving Harmony Drive Breezewood and Breezewood Road areas, with rates set to 7,000. A poll showed four in favor after a lengthy protest by property owners.

Miss Eliza B L Crea, 86, born on the TB75 farms, is the eldest of nine children. Her father Thomas came from Ireland in 1866 after the Civil War to aid uncle William Crea who owned the farm. She remembers Forsythe School sites and early Marshall days, with a later building on Creal property still standing and being remodeled by her nephew.

Youth Dies in Auto Crash and Requiem Mass Planned
John Edward Siegel 17 of Wildwood Road died after losing control of a 1954 convertible on North Montour Road. Police say the car struck a tree and crashed into guardrails after veering across the road. Siegel’s companions James Strowser and David Linesay, both 18, survived with minor injuries. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Catherine Roman Catholic Church Wildwood. Siegel is survived by his parents a sister Roberta Ann and brothers James and William.
