Fredericksburg Va October 20 The Synod of Virginia opened with Nev F M Woods elected moderator. One hundred nine ministers and sixty five ruling elders attended. The main task was evangelistic work including five evangelists, new Presbyterians organized free churches and one Sunday school. Receipts were 5526 disbursements 5044 leaving 251 balance. A resolution called for a committee to draft a Scriptural statement on the position of women in the church.
