Accidents On Brambleton Ward Boardwalk Cause Concern

Fatal Fall of an Aeronaut in Lynchburg VA
Walter Steele, an aeronaut, perished during a balloon ascent in Lynchburg on June 22. The balloon rose, a wind gust dragged it horizontally, Steele clung to the parachute twenty feet below the balloon, was snagged by tree limbs, and fell about a hundred feet to the ground. His home is unknown.
