Washington April 29 The house met briefly with seven minutes of talk before adjournment motions. An objection over lack of quorum was raised by Mr Stimson Populist of Kansas. Mr Pasqne Republican of New York moved to adjourn. chair C W Stone Publican of Pennsylvania ruled adjournment to Monday under the last Friday order. Simson protested the move as unconstitutional, but the regular order was demanded and the motion carried with Democrat support. The chaplain prayed for General Henderson of Town Iowa recovering at home in Dubuque.
The Southeastern Railway Freight Association was organized in Washington with Samuel F. Parrott as chairman and Major J. W. Thomas as permanent chairman of the Executive Board.
