Religious reformers urge end of sacerdotalism in church
Charles S. Roundell argues against priestly ascendancy and Romanist drift in the English Church. He laments exclusion of Dissenters from universities, condemns ritualism and church control of education, and calls for a reestablishment of the National Church on Protestant, lay-led foundations. He urges religious equality and unity of Protestant denominations.
