Wolfangel Named Patrol Commander in Hamilton County

Daniel Wolfangel of Anderson Township was set to become the Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol commander, promoting from lieutenant in charge of safety. He will lead police functions from the sheriff's office, with his career noted as one of the fastest rise in the patrol. Wolfangel’s promotion followed Sheriff Paul J. Fricker’s earlier move to sheriff.

Newtown to add a park and village square this year

Newtown plans a second park and a village square at Church and Main with two back to back lots donated by Roy Hilberg and the Irwins. Mayor William F. Judd says landscaping will be coordinated by local groups and a service building will rise behind the park on Plum Street using federal funds for equipment.

Anderson Township Trustees Debating Greenbelt For 14 Acres

Trustees debated accepting 14 acres of greenbelt in return for rezoning approval for Townhouse development along Forest Rd. The plan would allow Towne Properties to add 50 units. already approved 21 homes on the greenbelt site. Meeting also approved road-switch discussions, firehouse site talks, and master plan revision deadlines.

Lyle Castle Named Grand Marshal For Memorial Day Parade

Judge Lyle W. Castle of Common Pleas Court will lead the Memorial Day parade in Cincinnati at 7 30 p m May 30. Col Richard L Dooley said the 104 year old tradition will feature bands military units drills horses dog teams antique cars fire engines clowns and other marching groups. The Hamilton County Memorial Association sponsors the event with veterans organizations and community groups. Castle a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and former Civil Air Patrol leader has notable service history including CAP national legal officer rank of Brigadier General. Forest Hills Schools face state aid cut of 74504 for 1973 74 bringing local aid to 2394523 from 2469027 per Ohio Education estimates.

Reckman to discuss police protection and zoning at Anderson
