He suggests practicing deep-corner placement and easing first serves to boost consistency.
Three area high schools Turpin McNicholas and Anderson enjoyed standout 1980-81 seasons. Turpin reached 16-10 in basketball and 8-8 in football while Anderson finished 16-4 in league play winning the Suburban League title. Spartan swimming dominated and Mary List and Gary Michels earned top track honors at league championships.
The 1981 Ohio Insurance Youth Golf Classic will be played at Clovernook Country Club on Monday June 29. The field is limited to the first 104 entrants and the $11 entry fee includes snacks.
