The 1981 Anderson Township budget shows a 6.8 percent increase from 1980 projections with receipts of 1,557,600 and expenditures of 1,919,000. The estimated end 1981 balance is 269,036. Road maintenance drops to 391,000 while fire, police, and administration rise. The fire levy renewal should bring about 608,000. Collision Injures Nine In Head-On Crash On Kellogg Ave
Nine people were hurt in a head-on collision near the California Water Works on Kellogg Avenue at about 8 30 p m July 17. Walter Huber 23 of New Richmond drove westbound over the center line hitting Theodore Moore and Pam Cornelius 20 of Westwood. Huber and Cornelius were treated at Cincinnati General Hospital for leg and facial injuries. the car had earlier been returned to Cornelius after being stolen. A Madisonville man was being held in connection with that theft. The Moore family members were treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.

The new 904 acre Woodland Mound Park opened in a Sunday ceremony with a time capsule to be opened July 20 2050 marking the Hamilton County Park Districts 50th anniversary. Dr Richard H Durrell park commissioner said the park will expand when another land gift is donated. The event included a VIP reception three hot air balloons a band concert and fireworks.
