Anderson Township trustees explore dissolving the Quali Craft contract for Forrest Park road and sewer work amid delays and disputes. The board met with Quali Craft and KZF on suspension plans and will convene again Feb 24.
Rick Casey of the Mt. Washington Civic Association led a delegation to Cincinnati's Town Meeting and called it educational. He said the event offered a chance to meet city department heads, discuss specific issues, and learn whom to contact for action, including a commitment to road improvements at Campus Lane and Beechmont Avenue in the Mt. Washington business district.
Anderson Township Fire Department head David Cooper questions the proposed disaster plan for the Moscow nuclear plant. He warns the township would have to mobilize all emergency equipment and personnel, seeks clarity on equipment funding, river-traffic constraints, and realistic participation limits before trustees approve any involvement.
Newtown man William Robertson, 45, was shot four times Sunday during a domestic argument and remained in serious condition Monday at General Hospital. His wife Lucille Robertson, 43, was charged with attempted murder. They live on Lake Street. the shooting occurred at his in-law's home nearby. Police and county detectives investigated Sunday night.
Anderson Township trustees refuse to back a $500 donation to fight CMHA expansion. Delhi Township trustee Dusty Rhodes proposed pooling county funds to block CMHA authority growth, which would extend to most of Hamilton County. Trustee Dorsey votes against, citing a one man crusade risk. CMHA says local governments must approve subsidized housing plans.
