County housing plans discussed by board

Homebuilders denied rights to intervene in Mt Washington housing suit

Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Harry Klusmeier ruled the Homebuilders Association of Greater Cincinnati cannot be a defendant in the Mt Washington Civic Club suit challenging Koetzle Corp's Woodwinds 48 unit subsidized housing project. The civic club targets a PUD zone change, with Zoning Board of Appeals members and city planning directors named in the action.

Road name change sought to direct Beechmont traffic

Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will ask Anderson Township Trustees to rename Five Mile Road to better direct motorists to Beechmont Business District. They cite signage on I-275 fails to show link to Beechmont Avenue. County commissioners must approve. ODOT notes federal rules limit highway district directions. Chamber directors supported the plan at the Aug. 7 meeting with motions by Pieper and Sayers.

Clermont County Fair Journalist Day Highlighted by Exotic Exhibit

The Clermont County Fair features a Journal Day with an exhibit of exotic animals from the Cincinnati Zoo, balloon releases for children, and Frisbee contests. A $100 gift certificate, a Jack Curby Combo performance, and Dixieland music are planned. Admission ranges by time, season tickets offer weeklong access, and free parking is noted.

Journal ad helps sell air conditioner quickly
