Rural Iowa notes show farm life and community events
Reasnor and Hixon Grove neighbors report on church reorganization with Murphy Russell as superintendent, new windmill pump, a baby girl birth, meetings, and visits. Farmers discuss corn yields, potato digging, hog disease, and upcoming quarterly church services. Local folk travel to Des Moines, barber changes, and insurance work, with several arrivals and family news threaded through the 1895 rural scene.
