Notice is given that the district court has appointed and commissioned the executrix of the estate of Samuel Allen, deceased. Creditors must settle with the executrix and claimants must prove claims within twelve months or be barred, dated Newton October 1.
The University of Illinois surveyed 300 corn farmers to determine the cost of raising corn. Average state cost about 72 cents per bushel including land and equipment, with yields near 51 bushels per acre. Calculations suggest a net gain over $200 per farmer when selling at 2.5 cents per bushel, after expenses.
