P E O Society Social Exhibition At Mrs Gates Home
A lively New Year social hosted by the P. E. O. society at Mrs. L. A. Gates home on McDonald street drew sixty attendees. Members planned entertainment and refreshments with husbands acting as waiters. performances included pantomimes, stage antics, and musical numbers. City bonds were refunded, with new four percent bonds issued at a 250 premium, saving 3500 over 20 years.
