District Court Adopts Leniency For McFarlane Of War Service
Judge Ryan presided as criminal docket heard. John McFarlane pleaded guilty to stealing harness and other articles with a leniency petition signed by victims and county leaders. Ernest Southern pleaded guilty and faces sentence next Tuesday after dishonorable discharge issued by federal authorities. Other cases included Mershon vs Campbell verdict for defendant, Jeffries vs Robertson verdict for plaintiff, and Ash and Davis guilty of clover seed theft. Court adjourned until Tuesday with various dockets continued or dismissed.
