Supervisors Meet Approves Banks and New Clerical Aid
The Jasper county board approved Prairie City Colfax and Monroe banks and passed a resolution fixing 24 percent annual interest on daily balances, to be paid quarterly after December 1, 1808. They also authorized sixty five dollars for extra clerical help for the County Auditor to prepare the tax books by January 1, 1851, with committee members named.
