To the republican electors of Jasper County Iowa a delegate convention is ordered in Newton on May 8 1900 at 11 a m to select 18 delegates and alternates for the Sixth District convention in Des Moines May 10 1900 and for the State Republican Convention also May 10 1900. Delegates are apportioned by precinct and vote totals with a total of 161 delegates. caucuses should be called by precinct committeemen or voters meet May 5 1900 at 4 p m to choose delegates. Chairman Be Dotson urges precincts to appoint county central committee members for the year.
