Probate era board handles taxes, jail repairs and charity
A Jasper county board session adjourned after approving claims and property rebates for Elk Creek and Buena Vista townships. The minutes note authorizing the auditor to buy supplies, appointing tax rebates for charity cases, and appointing committees to inspect jail repairs and sewer connections. An obituary for Mrs. Elmina Winslow recalls her pioneer service, family ties, church work, and interment at Sugar Grove.
