Bennett intercedes For Rock Island

Gov. Robert Bennett wired the U S Railway Association urging an emergency loan to the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad to prevent Kansas grain costs rising by about 15 million and broad economic disruption. Housing project may be redesigned in Northridge

Detroit developers buy addition Westhaven Addition sale to Vilardi Zablocki

Detroit builders Frank L. Vilardi and Robert H. Zablocki purchased the Westhaven Addition from First Service Corp. The 92 building lots west of Anderson Ave and north of W. 15th along with 21 acres were acquired. First Federal Savings and Loan is not financing the deal. Zoning is R-1 for lots and R-3 for the acreage with streets and sewers contracted or partly completed.

Senate Finance Panel Cuts Income Tax by 2 Billion
