Newton native Mark Vetter 20 filed for the Newton Unified School District board by petition on Wednesday afternoon. A 1973 Newton High graduate he is now a Wichita State University sophomore and has worked as a clerk at Jee Dillon store for two years. He belongs to St. Marys Church and the Knights of Columbus and has served as youth director and recorder for the organization for about a year and a half.
