Gilmore executes after stay lifted by Utah firing squad

Navy launch capsizes in Barcelona harbor killing sailors
A U S Navy launch carrying sailors and Marines collided with a freighter and toppled in Barcelona harbor early today killing at least 23 American servicemen. Over 100 aboard swam to safety as tugboats righted the vessel and rescue continued.
