John Wayne Brooks 25 was convicted of arson for burning insulation off $23,000 worth of copper wire from Lehigh Portland Cement Co. He denied stealing 25,750 feet of wire but admitted torching the insulation. He found wire Jan 1 1991 near the Monocacy River. Sentencing set for Nov 10. arson max five years and $5,000 fine.

Sightseeing copters collide near Niagara Falls
Two helicopters carrying sight seers collided Tuesday near Horseshoe Falls. One aircraft crashed into the Niagara River gorge killing all four aboard. the other landed at a nearby theme park with its occupants uninjured. A witness described the crash as debris showering a parking lot while ground observers escaped harm. The downed craft, a Hughes 500 owned by Rainbow Helicopters Inc., carried four people.
