Silent Christians Loose in City Churches
The Rev Harold A Bosley argues that about 800 million self described Christians worldwide are lax in worship and practice. He warns if all believers felt at home in the church, the impact on society would be vast and the church must persuade members to loyally pledge to the Lord. He cites urban laxity as fueling crime and immorality.

Domestic program proposals from steelworkers union
No. 1 Domestic Problem. While praising the longest period of recovery since World War II the steelworkers convention says unemployment remains the nation’s top issue. It rejects wage limits and calls for a multipart program to boost purchasing power with high wages and broad federal investment in housing, urban renewal, highways, hospitals and schools, plus labor protections and expanded unemployment benefits. The plan echoes liberal Johnson era policy.
