Roater's Crop Saved After Hoof Injury at Farm
A farm accident left Roater Foster with a broken right leg just below the knee after a horse kicked him during a harvest. He was treated at City Hospital and returned home, where church volunteers cut 199 shocks of corn at dusk to ease his farm work load. The act showcased the old saying Friends In Need Are Friends Indeed.
