NIST advances with new Advanced Measurement Laboratory contract
A $174 million joint venture of Bethesis and Beltsville-based firms won the award to build NIST’s Advanced Measurement Laboratory in Gaithersburg. The AML will house advanced metrology across physics, chemistry, electronics, engineering and materials science with vibration-minimized, daylighted design and a 2004 opening slated to boost U.S. industry research capabilities.

Mason to 15 years for second degree sex offense of a child abuse, with 20 years suspended and five years probation.
