Jurors deliberated 15 minutes before convicting Robert Edward Weddle Jr. of receiving a stolen riding mower valued at 400 dollars. Frederick County planners in Winchester Hall will hear a plan by Urban Systems Development Corp to develop the 114 acre Thomas farm on O Possumtown Pike south of Poole Jones Road and north of Frederick Community College under the Planned Unit Development rule. The request seeks 300 rental garden apartments, 150 rental townhomes, 400 townhouses, and 175 single family homes across 106 acres with open space and public facilities. The Oct 12 hearing marks the first of three phase proceedings to set density, layout, and improvements, with possible appeal to the county commissioners if approved.
