Inventor Schroeder's Arrowplane Aims for Safe Passenger Flight
New York inventor L. G. W. Schroeder unveils the Arrowplane, a two plane airship built on a keel design like that of racing yachts. It features automatic equilibrium rudders and a wind spilling mechanism to prevent nosedives, with capacity planned for two to three passengers. The craft uses a forty horse power engine, four wheels for ground start, and asserts it can rise in strong winds and stay upright.
