A Kiwanis meeting was led by Vice-President George B Delaplaine Jr with several guests introduced by Rev Charles F Trunk Jr An 85 000 damages verdict was awarded to 70 year old Alonzo Gordon Moreland who was injured by a falling wall in Baltimore Superior Court Tuesday The suit claimed severe injuries from the incident and the jury ruled in his favor.

Moreland said he suffered a fractured pelvis, rib fractures, a brain concussion and partial hearing loss when struck by a parapet wall fragment while walking by the hospital convent in August 1959.
