How to Fix Sticking Drawers in Furniture
Do not force a stuck drawer. Check for swelling from moisture and loosened joints. Use paraffin or lubrication on slides, sand or plane as needed, and apply shellac to prevent future swelling. If still jammed, remove back access, loosen contents, and call a carpenter. Re glue bottom only loosely to allow expansion. Tighten pulls and repair threaded hardware with washers or filler as needed.
