Fair attendance at all time high and country stars at Frederick Fair
Attendance at the Great Frederick Fair set an all time high with about 160000 attendees last week and 135000 in 1984. Willie Nelson led the FarmAir benefit concert carried by the Nashville Network to aid financially troubled farmers. Charley Pride and Lynn Anderson performed at the event and were video taped for FarmAir in Champaign Illinois. Funds from the benefit go toward counseling and cash payments, and premium money for farm exhibits is paid in cash with livestock and dairy premiums issued by check.
