Highway Projects in Frederick County Outline Costs and Delays
Maryland officials outlined Frederick County highway plans totaling about 172 million dollars with 34 smaller projects under a special program. Key items include a new 2.1 mile bridge over Double Pipe Creek and widening near the Francis Scott Key Mall, plus traffic and parking lot improvements. Officials warned federal funds may not flow as expected from a 5 cent gas tax increase, but the transportation trust fund remains strong.
