Two Baltimore men acquitted in Frederick County theft case
Two Baltimore residents William Warres and Cordell Parrack were acquitted in Frederick County Court on theft, attempted theft, unauthorized use and assault charges from an April 4 rest stop incident on I-70. Testimony placed the crime in question as a jurisdictional issue, with the judge ruling the rest stop location unclear and the court lacking authority to rule beyond Frederick County. Police later found a shotgun and fingerprints tied to the scene, but the acquittal rested on location testimony and ownership proof gaps. In Bethesda, Edward Timothy Charles died at 77 after a possible heart attack while driving, following a school of collisions on Wisconsin Avenue.
