Frederick funeral director Thomas Rice dies at 78
Longtime Frederick funeral director Thomas P Rice died at home after a cerebral hemorrhage. A respected civic member, he assisted the Evangelical Reformed Church and oversaw the Rice funeral firm since 1885. He lived at 15 East Burth Street with a large family, leaving a daughter Mrs James Cosmo Jones and a brother Lewis Rice. Interment is planned at Olivet Cemetery.
