Dewey Jordan Inc Fined for Illegal Debris Dumping
A Frederick construction company, Dewey Jordan Inc, was fined 15000 in Anne Arundel County after officials found three 55-gallon drums and other debris dumped at a U S 50 and I 97 project site. An employee said he was ordered to bury barrels, triggering a statewide Environmental Crimes Unit inquiry led by Assistant Attorney General Howard Nicholson. Officials declined comment.

Alleged accessory held on $50,000 bail in murder case
Timothy Carmon, 35, is held on a $50,000 bail bond after being charged with making a false statement and hindering police in the arrest of machete murder suspect David Charles Morgan. He is also charged with selling crack cocaine to a confidential informant for $150 on Sept. 1 near Elmwood Terrace Apartments, where Francisco Hernandez was killed. Carmon, also known as T, was contacted by an informant and monitored by police during discussions. Vitale, 32, is the second person charged as an accessory. Police say Hernandez was lured to Morgan's Elmwood Terrace apartment with promises of sex, robbed, and allegedly carried cash while intoxicated.

Jury convicts man of sexual assault in 1994 case
Stanley Wayne Wilt Jr, 30, of Motter Avenue, convicted Thursday of third degree sexual offense and assault with intent to rape for allegedly forcing a 21 year old woman into a West Seventh Street yard in June 1994. Jury acquitted him of attempted first degree rape.
