State to name building after Louis Goldstein
The Maryland Board of Public Works voted to name the state treas ury building in Annapolis after Lews L. Goldstein, in his seventh term as state comptroller. Goldstein did not vote on the proposal, cited his long career since 1938, and received lighthearted remarks from Gov. Hughes. Other actions included a $348,000 security fence contract for the Maryland Training School for Boys, a 49 year lease at $14 annually to the American Cancer Society for a lodge, and a perpetual conservation easement on a 257 acre Talbot County farm owned by Robert Pascal for tax benefits.
