House OKs 440000 for 1 70 270 Interchange Project
The House approved an additional 440000 for the 1 70 270 project in Frederick as part of a 13 billion highway system authorization. Rep Roscoe Bartlett pushed a redesignation of leftover funds from Washington County toward Phase I to accelerate connections between I 70 and I 270. The bill funds about 98 million yearly for Maryland highways and awaits Senate reconciliation and presidential approval. Marine Cpl Peter Jolles of Union Bridge recently completed reserve training. He is a 1990 Linganore High School graduate.
