Eight Killed In Virginia Accident
Eight persons died and two others were seriously injured in a two vehicle collision near Petersburg Virginia on U S 460 shortly after midnight. A tractor trailer jackknifed and burst into flames involving a milk carrier pickup truck and a passenger car.

Gaithersburg to Get New Post Office Facility

Baltimore Couple Die In One Car Wreck On Route 340
A Baltimore couple, James Ralph Kincaid 29 and Louise Catherine Kincaid, died from injuries after a single vehicle crash on Route 340 near Md Route 79. The 1950 Chevrolet left the road, struck a cement culvert, overturned, and Ms Kincaid was killed when crushed under the vehicle while Mr Kincaid died later at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Numerous weekend crashes caused property damage exceeding $1,000 with other injuries noted and multiple police investigations.

Maryland reported six deaths last week in multiple crashes across the state. A youth returning home from the Maryland West Virginia game near College Park died in a collision near Moorefield West Virginia. Virgil Halterien 21 of Moorefield and John Whitlock 18 of Beckley were killed in the Moorefield crash. Two companions were injured as was a second occupant of Halterman car. A Baltimore man and his wife perished on U S 340 ten miles west of Frederick when a passing attempt turned fatal. James Raron Hkincaid 49 and his wife Louise 51 suffered serious injuries. Other victims included Charles L King 24 of Glen Burnie and Virginia Isabelle Wedemeyer 23 of Baltimore. Mrs Lucy Creamer 38 of Levit Ned died in Bethesda. Richard Thomas 33 of Tyinkside died when his car failed to negotiate a curve near Salisbury. Harry Paul Smith 36 railroad worker from Cumberland died in Deep Creek Lake accident previously reported last week.
