County Board Considers Livestock Loss Claims and Dog Tax Hurdles
County Commissioners reviewed about 15 livestock and poultry damage claims due to dogs and approved seven while others were kept under review as some amounts appeared excessive. They noted rural collections are difficult, with many residents avoiding dog tax collection and enforcement, and discussed possible new dog tax legislation and the prospect of state control over enforcement.
