Creagerstown Auld Town With Rich 18th Century Roots
Creagerstown, settled about 1750 by Germans from Pennsylvania, rose as an important stage point at the junction of major routes, housed four taverns, and endured a devastating 1914 fire that left many buildings burned. Now electric lights spread through homes and businesses but residents seek a town hall, a modern school with playgrounds, and improved Lewistown road access.
