George A Gilbert at 16 and 18 North Market Street offers a full line of shoes including Hand Me Allnut and Biooty’s styles that wear well, a large selection of hats in soft or stiff shapes, the latest styles, and a variety of trunk bags and satchels.
Prof Cyrus Thomas of this city studies Maya hieroglyphics from Central American Tuins in a quest to interpret re Columbian era inscriptions. He has written extensively on ethnology and believes he has found a key to decoding the glyphs. So far the glyphs appear to record events or feasts.
