Talks stall as NFL contract talks threaten strike
NFL players and owners halted negotiations Friday night with union leaders saying owners were pushing toward a strike possibly as early as Tuesday. The NFLPA demanded a share of team gross revenues while management rejected that stance and offered a four year package totaling 1.6 billion. Upshaw warned the current system must improve or players will walk, while Donlan suggested a strike might still be avoided.
