Frederick Fair Returns for 114th Year With Expanded Displays
The Frederick Fair opens for its 114th year with larger animal displays and Machinery Row, new public restrooms accessible to the handicapped, a painted grandstand, and a new stage canopy. The race course fence is lowered, a new cattle barn replaces the old sheep pen, and judging will be easier with all animals grouped together. Fair Board president Donald G. Schley notes bigger rabbit, poultry, pig pens, and a larger machinery section. Lincoln S. Stull manages operations with a 11 member board and a 150-strong waiting list for booths.
