Showers Dampen Activities at Great Frederick Fair
Wet weather may alter plans for the Great Frederick Fair with showers forecast Friday as well. City and County Officials Day is today, and 20 000 students attend on Children's Day Friday. Highlights include an Old Fashioned Day parade of antique cars at 3 30 p.m. Tonight features The Hagers and Life. Friday events include the FFA judging at 8 a.m., harness races at 1 30 p.m., animal cavalcade at 2 p.m., 4 H baby beef sheep and swine sale, and an 8 p.m. grandstand show and demolition derby. Saturday features Jack Kochman Hell Drivers at 2 and 8 p.m. The carnival midway opens daily at 9 a.m. and draws fairgoers such as George Jones of Scranton Pa who enjoys the water gun and lucky wheel.

FCC rejects Snowball venue change at Frederick gym
