Snowstorms strand 5000 travelers in Wyoming
A record early snowstorm blanketed southern Wyoming and Utah, stranding about 5,000 travelers in Rawlins as U S 30 between Laramie and Rawlins remained blocked. The storm dumped more than 19 inches of snow in places with warming turning it to rain and thundery showers.
