Steiner in Line for Police Superintendent Position
William F. Steiner, longtime Frederick City chief, is among candidates to succeed Major J. Jordan Wright as Maryland State Police superintendent when the term ends October 1. Reports say he has strong backing and could be the leading choice, with Governor Nee noting military background not required.
